You don’t need to buy expensive beauty products to look amazing. Products you buy in your local shops are sometimes enough. Save up some money and your beauty bag will be housing a professional collection anyway.
Bath or shower gels
They have one task – cleaning the skin and removing sebum, dust and dirt. Gels don’t have any tightening, repairing and healing properties. They work only on the skin surface and you easily wash them off with water. Since the effects are superficial, there is no point in buying pricey shower gels. Their price depends on the brand and fragrances. Just remember that cheap gels may irritate and dehydrate allergy-prone skin.
Hair shampoos
They work in the same way. Shampoos let hair and scalp get rid of sebum, dandruff and dirt. The notorious SLS has such qualities. It is important that you match a shampoo to your hair type. Don’t buy shampoos that create intensive lather and strongly cleanse the scalp. Such products might cause irritations and oiliness. If serious skin problems are bothering you, go to the doctor for pharmaceuticals.
Makeup products
Unusual hues (neon, metallic, fluorescence) and original decorations (false eyelashes, crystals) don’t need to be a fixed element of your image. If you have few occasions to use cosmetics of extraordinary shades, cut down on buying them. Such products have a long shelf-life so they will make it to the next party.
Mascaras
Good mascaras are available at really affordable prices. You don’t need to spend shocking amounts of money on a product replaced every three months. Visit a local drug store for a mascara that delivers longer, curled and voluminous lashes. Some cheap mascaras are resistant to water, sweat, tears and rain. They are clump-free, smudge-free and long-wear. While shopping, pay attention to the wand. If you want nice lash separation, go for a brush that has evenly-spread and long bristles.
