Blackheads – How Are They Formed? How to Get Rid of Them?

beauty.jpg

Black dots disfigure your face, cleavage and back? Are you embarrassed to stand close to anyone worrying that they will see your blackheads on your nose, chin and cheeks? Find out how are the blackheads formed and what are the best ways to get rid of them in the comfort of your own home.

How are the blackheads formed?

Blackheads and enlarged pores are formed when the skin produces too much sebum which in combination with dirt and dead skin cells contribute to clogging of the hair follicle. The sebaceous gland is right next to it.
Blackheads appear mainly on a combination and oily skin.

Professional ways to remove blackheads

These are the most common ways to get rid of blackheads:

  • acid peel, which consists in intensive exfoliation of the epidermis with strong acids,
  • cavitation peeling, which is performed using ultrasounds to improve the appearance of the skin through a micro massage,
  • microdermabrasion, which is based on the controlled generation of underpressure. During the procedure, microcrystals released at high speed fall on the surface of the skin and remove dead skin cells and any impurities from it.

You might as well go for mechanical skin cleansing, however, if you want the procedure to end successfully, it must be repeated. What’s more, this type of skin treatment can be painful and leaves the skin red.

At-home methods for reducing blackheads

In order to get rid of blackheads, you do not need to use the services of professional beauty salons. There are effective methods for blackheads, for example:

Natural pore shrinking mask

Whip an egg white and add a teaspoon of cucumber, lemon or cranberry juice. Apply the mask to your face, and when it dries – rinse with boiled water.

Cleansing peel

Mix two teaspoons of ground oat flakes with warm water and apply to the face. Gently massage the skin for about 10 minutes, then rinse the mask with lukewarm water. Then, rub a light moisturizing cream onto your face.

Chamomile toner

Pour a glass of boiling distilled water over 15 g of dry chamomile leaves and leave covered for 20 minutes, then put on a cotton pad and wipe your face with it. Apply the product in the morning and evening.
