While many people opt for lip fillers, there are ways to enlarge lips without surgical intervention. If you stand in front of the mirror every morning and ask yourself how to optically make your lips bigger, read this article.
How to make your lips bigger?
Here are a few ways:
- exfoliate lips
Remember that lips should also be regularly exfoliated. Not only that you get rid of the dead skin cells, you will also improve the blood circulation, thanks to which they will become bolder and optically bigger.
Lip scrub can be bought in the store or made by yourself, for example, based on sugar and honey.
- apply a lip gloss
One drop of a lip gloss is enough to make your lips look bigger and fuller. It can be colourless or in a colour that matches the lipstick. Instead of applying it all over, dab it to the centre of the lower lip and rub it over the top; then the effect will be the most visible. - choose a bright and complexion-matching colour of the lipstick
Try to avoid dark lipsticks and lip glosses as they make your lips smaller. A bright colour will give them a fuller effect. Remember, however, that it is cannot be too bright; the right lipstick colour is one that will be one-two tones darker than your skin, and a maximum like that.
Of course, at the end, smudge the lips with a lip gloss. Lip gloss will make your lips look bigger.
- apply a silver or golden pigment to the centre of the lips
Pat a bit of a loose pigment to the spot where you would usually apply a lip gloss – to the centre of the lower lip. If you do not use enough pigment, the colour will not be visible. This way your lips will appear fuller and highlighted.
If the colour of the lipstick has a cool undertone, go for a silver pigment, if it’s warm – use a golden one.
- use a lip liner
Choose a lip liner in the colour of your lips or match it to the shade of the lipstick. Outline the lips contour with a coloured pencil, and later paint the lips with lipstick or vice versa – first, fill the lips with the colour of the lipstick, and only then draw the contours; thanks to this, the lipstick will not fade away before the lip liner (this will happen simultaneously). Remember that in the second case, the colour of the lipstick and the colour of the liner must be identical.
These are just some of the ways to optically enlarge your lips. You can also mark a cupid bow over the upper lip with a white pencil or draw a shadow under the bottom with a brown, soft eyeliner. Try out these ideas and share your results!
