The Ideal Hairdresser and How to Find Him

hairdresser.jpg

Good hairdresser knows and understands needs of your hair as well as your life style. He is open to the suggestions and understands what you expect of him and your hairstyle. Is a hairdresser like this even real? How to choose right hair stylist? Read below.

1. RECOMMENDATION

It is best not to waste your time, energy and money (as well as hair) on checking all the hair salons in the neighbourhood. You should ask an advise of your friends, read opinions on the Internet and find out what other people think of the given hairdresser. After such reconnaissance you can visit hair salon and check for yourself if this hairdresser is good for you and your hair.

2. EXPECTATIONS

It is worth to remember that given hair stylist can have great opinion when it comes to colourisation, but not so much when you need haircut. Be precise in your expectations and confront it with the hairdresser. There are women who go to two different hair salons for haircut and colour change.

3. THE HAIRDRESSER’S IMAGE

If the hairdresser you went to has cheap haircut, that in no way matches his face, hair condition and in general is sloppy – you better run girl. Someone who – you may think knows condition of his hair – yet cannot take care of it or cut it right, is probably also incompetent and unable to take care of your hair.

4. HAIR SALON APPEARANCE

It is obvious that hair salon should be clean and aesthetic. Never even think about anything else. What you should be interested in is what cosmetics are used in given hair salon and how are these stored. Take a look at the scissors – are they in good shape (sharp, properly kept, clean).

5. MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING

Extremely important is the mutual understanding of one needs, expectations and requests. You should also learn to talk to the hairdresser, so that there would be no mistakes when cutting hair. Be precise when you explain the hairdresser the haircut you want. Instead of asking for just ends, say that you want to shorten your hair 2, 3 or 4 cm, etc. Explain whether you want your hair cut straight or in V-shape. Do you want it layered? Tell him about your life style and whether you have time for tiresome stylisation. This all will help both you and the hairdresser.

Good Luck!
